Homecoming 2026

About

Homecoming festivities this year begin on Friday, November 20th with packet pick-up at Chiefs Field, followed by a special celebration of the Marching Chiefs Alumni archives in the Opperman Lounge. The event includes a walkthrough of items and photos the MCA has collected over the years, and refreshments. The ticket includes two drink tickets and hors d'oeuvres.

On Saturday, November 21st we meet to practice with the current Chiefs at the Manley R. Whitcomb Band Complex, 265 Chieftan Way, Tallahassee, FL 32304. The schedule is contingent on the game time, which the hosting TV network posts one to two weeks before gameday. We take part in Skull Session at Dick Howser Stadium 2.25 hours before kickoff and march over with the current Chiefs to Doak Campbell Stadium.

The Marching and Stadium Seating ticket includes entry into the stadium, seating in the block at Section 118, and on-field access for pre-game and halftime. It does not include admission to the tailgate or food.

Taking part in pre-game and halftime is not a requirement to sit in the block, but you must register for Marching and Stadium Seating for entry into the stadium and a seat in Section 118. If you are unable to march and would like accommodations for non-marching spots on the field, email [email protected].

We also host a tailgate at Chiefs Field under the tents. Its timing depends on the game time and may fall before or after. The menu is still being confirmed, and we will do our best to include options for common dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free). The tailgate includes a meal and a non-alcoholic drink; outside beverages are permitted.

How to register

Please read this whole section before registering.

To move through registration smoothly, have the names of your attendees ready. You will first add the names of the Marching Chiefs alumni taking part in the Social, Tailgate and/or Block events, plus any guests attending the Social or Tailgate. Then click Continue to choose how many of each ticket type you want and assign each ticket to the right person.

From there you provide the calendar years you were in Chiefs (e.g. 1990–1992), the section you played in, whether you are marching pre-game and/or halftime, and you can request an instrument if you need one. If you are attending the Social or Tailgate, please note any dietary restriction — we cannot accommodate everything, but we will do our best to make sure everyone has something to eat.

Registration does not include your uniform polo or guest football tickets. Those are purchased separately; links for both will be available soon.

Ticket options

  • MCA Archives Event & Social — Friday evening in the Opperman Lounge, next to the College of Music. Includes two drink tickets and hors d'oeuvres.
  • Tailgate — Saturday, time to be confirmed. Includes a meal and a drink.
  • Marching & Stadium Seating — entry to Doak Campbell Stadium, a seat in Section 118 with the band, and pre-game and halftime on the field.
  • Sponsor a Senior Chief Tailgate Ticket — each year we invite the senior Chiefs to the tailgate at no charge to them. Buy one or more of these to help offset that cost. Thank you for your support.

Guest football tickets

To buy guest football tickets for 2026 Homecoming, visit seminoles.evenue.net. On the left of the screen click Enter Promo Code and type ALUMNIBAND26 in all caps to choose from the seats held for the Marching Chiefs Alumni guest section. There is a limited number of tickets for this game.

Please do not share this link or code outside our alumni band membership.

Guest tickets are located behind the Marching Chiefs Alumni block (Section 118) and may be issued by email closer to the game.

Guests, including children, may not enter the stadium with the band during march over, and may not sit in the block until after halftime. This is for the safety and security of your guest and the band. Guests must enter through an available gate using their purchased ticket and sit in their designated seat. This matters especially if you are attending with small children.

Anyone bringing guests in without tickets, through the march-over parade, or seating guests in the block before halftime may be removed from the game and from Homecoming events.

Support the MCA

If you cannot attend Homecoming but would still like to contribute, you can donate to the FSUMCA Operating Fund (F04051), or use the registration link to buy one or more Sponsor a Senior Chief Tailgate Tickets.

Donations are tax deductible and any amount is welcome.

Official MCA uniform

The Uniform Store opens soon — check back for the link. Orders are collected at packet pick-up; we will not have spare polos or shirts there.

All participating Marching Chiefs Alumni must wear the official FSUMCA polo (or the designated visual team uniform) to enter the stadium as part of the block. The athletics department enforces this for safety and security.

  • Musicians — garnet official MCA uniform polo; black pants, shorts or capris; 2026 name badge.
  • Color Guard — Color Guard uniform shirt; black pants, shorts or capris; 2026 name badge.
  • Majorettes — Majorette uniform shirt; black pants, shorts or capris; 2026 name badge.
  • Feature Twirlers — performance-appropriate attire. To enter the stadium or the seating block, wear the MCA uniform polo over performance attire, or with black pants, shorts or capris; 2026 name badge.

No denim or jeans, athletic wear, bike shorts, athletic shorts, yoga pants or leggings. Your pants or shorts should read as slacks or slack-style — business casual. Golf shorts are a good example. This is a uniform and a performance, so we should look professional.

After registration closes, visual team members receive details about the routine.

Gameday logistics

Instrument check-out

Equipment can only be provided for these sections:

  • Hornz (B♭ and F)
  • Baritones
  • Flush
  • Big 8 (cymbals, snares, quads and bass drums)
  • Color Guard

The MCA cannot provide equipment for other sections — we recommend renting from a local music store or borrowing from a friend. Mouthpieces, adapters, mallets and sticks are yours to bring.

Instruments may only be checked out by the registered alumni member, who must sign the instrument out with accurate contact details. Instruments must be signed back in at the Chiefs Field House within 30 minutes of the end of the game, by the same person. Never leave an instrument outside the Field House.

Need special accommodations? Email [email protected] and we will try to help.

Clear bag policy

Under the Clear Bag Policy, each person may bring one clear bag (plus a clutch or small purse) into FSU home athletic events. It applies to everyone entering the stadium, including those marching — you will not be allowed in with a non-clear bag. Check the policy for bag sizes, allowed and prohibited items, and the other rules.

Parking

We cannot provide parking for Homecoming participants. Please review the FSU Gameday Parking Information. Many campus lots and garages are reserved for Seminole Boosters on gamedays, so give yourself extra time to park and walk to Chiefs Field for rehearsal.

Do not ignore "No Parking" signs, park in Booster lots, or park on the grass near Chiefs Field — you will be towed.

Many organizations and businesses around campus sell gameday parking at varying prices. Please also consider carpooling, a taxi, or a ride share.

Additional details

The FSUMCA Board reserves the right to decline or cancel registration and participation for any alumni member or their guests whose conduct is unbecoming, which could lead the Athletics Department to revoke our invitation to take part in 2026 or future Homecoming activities. We also reserve the right to have individuals removed from 2026 Homecoming activities by law enforcement, which may include removal from the stadium.

For anything else, see the Homecoming FAQ or email [email protected].
