Leslie Mille played flute in Marching Chiefs from the 1991 to 1994 seasons, serving as a Row Leader for three of her four years in Chiefs. Leslie has been active as a FSU Marching Chiefs Alumna, participating during Homecoming as well as with the alumni group that plays with the Seminole Sound Pep Band during the holiday breaks when the student members are out of town. In conjunction with Michael Staden, Leslie helps to administer the Marching Chiefs Alumni Group on Facebook to encourage "Old Chiefs" to reconnect and share stories. Leslie has strong ties across the Florida State University campus, where she has worked for nearly 20 years in roles ranging from event planning, alumni relations, fund raising, and project management. She was the FSU College of Business Director of Alumni Relations where she managed special programs and dozens of events on-campus and across the United States designed to engage its graduates. This included planning and coordination of major, high-profile annual events and speaker series, receptions, oversight of several advisory boards, and supervision of two student organizations. Prior to this, she worked in the Office of the Vice President for University Relations as a coordinator for the Opening Nights Arts Festival, which included coordinating festival events, ticket sales, fund raising, contract and payment processing, and coordinating logistics for the visiting artists. She is currently the Associate Director of the Florida State University Career Center, and as part of her role works closely with the FSU Alumni Association and the FSU Foundation. Leslie is an active member of the Tallahassee community, having served as a “community catalyst” for the Knight Creative Communities Institute. She is also a longtime member of the Lofty Pursuits Community Marching Band. Leslie is the former chair and current active member of the FSU Faculty/Staff Campaign Committee, which raises awareness among FSU faculty and staff about the importance of annual giving. She is also a member of the FSU College of Education Alumni Council and previously served as president of Tallahassee Soccer Association. Leslie received her Bachelor of Science in Communication and her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration, both from Florida State University. She is a proud member of the FSU Alumni Association and Seminole Boosters.
