Homecoming 2022 Information and Registration

Marching Chiefs Alumni Homecoming
Friday, September 30 & Saturday, October 1, 2022
(Optional MC5K Sunday, October 2nd, presented by Kappa Kappa Psi)

Updated September 21, 2022.

The Marching Chiefs Alumni organization is excited to welcome everyone back for Homecoming 2022! We would love to have the largest gathering of Marching Chiefs Alumni in our history in the stands and on the field for pregame and halftime.

For any questions not addressed below or in this FAQ, please email the FSUMCA at [email protected]

Registration is now closed for Marching Chiefs Alumni Homecoming 2022. (Registration cutoff was September 11, 2022)

Registration for Marching Chiefs Alumni includes seating in the stadium block, on-field participation, and a ticket to the tailgate party at Chiefs field. The Marching Chiefs Alumni member stadium block will be in Section 118, which is the same as previous years, located in the South Endzone.

YOUR EVENTBRITE TICKET DOES NOT REPLACE PACKET PICK UP. Please be sure to pick up your packet on Friday, September 30th between 4pm-6pm at Chiefs Field. You will not have entry to the game or tailgate without your packet.

If you have registered for Homecoming and can no longer attend, please email us at [email protected]

Guest football tickets will be located as close as possible to the Marching Chiefs Alumni block (Section 118).

The cutoff for purchasing tickets through the FSU Ticket Office in the MCA Seating Block was September 14, 2021. If you wish to purchase regular football tickets for this game, contact the FSU Ticket Office at 850-644-1830.

Based on feedback from the membership, this year we are asking for donations to the FSUMCA Operating Fund (F04051) to help offset the cost for senior Marching Chiefs to attend our tailgate party. This is a great way to have our future MCA members engage with us and get excited to join our ranks once they leave FSU. Donations are tax deductible and any donation amount is welcomed!

The FSUMCA Uniform Store is now closed.

The deadline to order from the Uniform Store was on Sunday, September 18th at 11:59pm.

Orders will be available at packet pick-up.

We will not have extra polos or shirts available at packet pick-up.

All participating Marching Chiefs Alumni are required to wear the official FSUMCA polo shirt (or designated auxiliary uniform) for entry into the stadium as part of the Marching Chiefs Alumni block. Per the FSU Athletics Department, if you do not have the approved uniform, you may be denied access to the stadium unless you have a valid game ticket. You will not be able to sit with the MCA block nor be allowed access to the field.  No exceptions.

  • Musicians: UPDATE FOR 2022! Garnet official MCA Uniform Polo; BLACK pants, shorts, or capris; 2022 name badge.
    • Note: NO denim/jeans, athletic wear, bike shorts, athletic shorts, yoga pants, or leggings will be permitted.
    • Your pants/shorts should look like slacks or a slack style, similar to a business casual dress code. Golf shorts are a great example.
    • Reminder, this is a uniform and a performance so we should look professional.
  • Color Guard: Color Guard Uniform Shirt; Black pants, shorts, or capris; 2022 name badge.
  • Majorettes: Majorette Uniform Shirt; Black pants, shorts, or capris; 2022 name badge.

After registration closes, auxiliary members will receive information regarding the routine and additional related details. Any other auxiliary member questions can be directed to Sena Finklea at

Sheet music for you to print at home is available on the MCA Dropbox site. Files with "PrintSize" in the title have already been sized to fit in a flip folder as printed.

The combined Marching Chiefs and alumni band selection, Lady (You Bring Me Up) by the Commodores, is available in each respective instrument folder. To play along with the tune, an mp3 is available on the top level in the Dropbox site.

We will not have music available at packet pick-up. Please print your music ahead of time.

Michael Staden, Executive Director, has created a YouTube playlist for you to play along with while you practice. The combined selection video is currently not available on the YouTube playlist, so please use the mp3 in the Dropbox site to play along.

If you are unable to provide your own instrument for homecoming, we will try our best to provide an instrument for you at packet pick-up. During registration, please fill out the section on the form indicating that you need an instrument. When listing the instrument needed, please be specific as some sections have multiple instruments.

Instruments CANNOT be checked out by anyone other than the registered alumni, and the registered alumni MUST sign out the instrument, providing accurate contact information in an event that we need to contact them. Instruments MUST be signed back in after the game in the Chiefs Field House by the registered alumni that checked out the instrument. Do NOT leave any instruments outside the Field House.

Under the Clear Bag Policy, each person is allowed one clear bag (plus clutch or small purse) to bring into FSU home athletic events. This policy applies to everyone entering the stadium, including those marching. You will not be allowed into the stadium with a non-clear bag. Please consult the Clear Bag Policy for rules regarding the size of allowed clear bags, allowed items, prohibited items, and other rules pertaining to the policy.

Unfortunately we cannot provide parking for Marching Chiefs Alumni Homecoming participants. Please review the following FSU Gameday Parking Information. Many parking lots and garages on FSU's campus are reserved for Seminole Boosters parking on Gamedays. Given the uncertainty of parking availability on Gameday, we suggest giving yourself additional time to find parking and walk to Chiefs field for rehearsal.

We highly advise that you DO NOT ignore any "No Parking" signs, park in any lots designated as Seminole Booster lots, or park on any grass near Chiefs Field. You will be towed.

There are many organizations and businesses around campus that sell parking on game day. Prices vary and are located on both sides of campus. Please consider carpooling, using a taxi, or using a ride share service (such as Uber or Lyft) to get to campus for morning rehearsal.

Please note the following: The FSUMCA Board reserves the right to decline/cancel registration and/or participation for any alumni members, and/or their guests, if the actions of the individual(s) are unbecoming, which could result in the Athletics Department revoking our invitation to participate in 2022 or future Homecoming activities. We also reserve the right to remove any individuals from participation during the 2022 Homecoming activities by Law Enforcement if actions of the individual(s) are unbecoming of the FSUMCA, which may include removal from the stadium.

For any additional questions, please see this FAQ or email the FSUMCA at [email protected]
