Daniel Farr received his Bachelor of Music Education degree with honors from the Florida State University. While at FSU, Mr. Farr was President of CMENC and the Music Education liaison for the Dean's Student Advisory Council. During his time with the Marching Chiefs Mr. Farr held the positions of row leader, Clarinet Section Leader, Assistant Drum Major and Head Drum Major. He studied conducting with Patrick Dunnigan and Richard Clary, and clarinet with Deborah Bish. While at Fort Walton Beach High School, Mr. Farr taught AP Music Theory and concert band and co-taught symphonic and jazz band, in addition to arranging music for the stands and the marching show. He is a clinician for the Marching Band Leadership Camp at FSU and is Co-Founder for the Gulf Coast Drum Major Academy in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. His professional affiliations include Kappa Kappa Psi Honorary Band Fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the Florida Bandmasters Association, the Florida Music Educator's Association, and MENC: The National Association for Music Education. Mr. Farr is looking forward to this wonderful opportunity as band director and is very excited about his future at Lincoln High School.
